2024 Porsche Macan Turbo Electric

Based on the same platform as the Audi Q6 e-tron, the second-generation Porsche Macan was launched in January 2024 with four new all-electric powertrain choices; the Macan, the Macan 4, the 4S and the Turbo, all of which have a 95kWh battery.

In the range-topping Turbo, power comes from two electric motors positioned on the front and rear axles, delivering up to 630hp and 833lb-ft of torque to all four wheels. The result is a 0-62mph sprint time of 3.3 seconds, and a top speed of 162mph.

The Macan Electric's 95kWh battery has a peak charging speed of 270kW, meaning it can be charged from 10-80% in around 20 minutes on a high-speed charger, or in around 30 minutes using the 150kW chargers commonly found in the UK. The Turbo’s official claimed range is 367 miles.

Distinguishing features include a bespoke steering rack, model-specific Pirelli tyres, revised weight distribution and two-valve dampers first introduced on the Porsche Cayenne.

Inspired by the latest Cayenne and Panamera, the Macan Electric’s cabin features a curved 12.6-inch instrument cluster and a 10.9-inch infotainment system, as well as wireless phone charging, a voice assistant and other driver aids.

As standard, the Turbo Electric also comes with air suspension and the Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus electronically controlled rear differential lock.
