The 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+ is a high-end electric luxury saloon, with an impressive driving range, a comfortable and well-equipped interior, and a ‘liftback’ rear hatch for versatile cargo access, offering significant boot space compared to conventional saloons.
The rear wheels are powered by a single electric motor producing 333hp and 419lb-ft of torque, resulting in a 0-62mph sprint time of 3.2 seconds, and an electronically limited top speed of 130mph. It features a large 107.8 kWh lithium-ion battery, with an official WLTP range of up to 453 miles. With a DC rapid charger, it can be charged from 10-80% in approximately 31 minutes.
Featuring ten-degree rear axle steering for a tight turning circle, as well as adaptive suspension, it is said to have a smooth and refined ride quality, as well as a peaceful, quiet cabin through the use of acoustic glass.
In the range-topping Exclusive Luxury specification, the EQS 450+ features advanced comfort and technology features over other trim levels, including soft Nappa leather upholstery, heated and ventilated multi-contour front seats with massage function, a head-up display, the gesture-controlled MBUX Interior Assistant, active park assist with 360-degree cameras, and the Air Balance package, which includes an air purification device in the cabin, as well as an interior fragrance system.
