Revealed alongside its all-wheel drive counterpart, the 992.2-generation Porsche 911 Carrera GTS features the marque’s new ‘T-Hybrid’ powertrain, consisting of a 3.6-litre turbocharged flat-six and a 400-volt hybrid system, where a compact 1.9kWh battery powers two electric motors. One motor is integrated into the eight-speed PDK transmission, while the other sits inside the turbocharger and is designed purely to eliminate turbo lag. The GTSproduces 541hp and 450lb-ft of torque, resulting in a 0-60mph sprint time of just 3.0 seconds with the Sport Chrono package equipped, and a top speed of 194mph.
The Carrera GTS comes with a suite of standard equipment designed to enhance its handling and track performance, including the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) adaptive damping system, which includes stiffer springs and lowers the ride height by 10mm, as well as rear-wheel steering for improved low-speed manoeuvrability, larger brakes, wider wheels, redesigned bumpers and a central sports exhaust.
In the cabin, a new 12.6-inch digital infotainment cluster has taken the place of the traditional analogue unit, and this particular car also features parking sensors, front-axle lift, heated front seats, the optional rear seats, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with navigation, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
