2025 Land Rover Defender 110 OCTA Edition One
Key Points: Edition One, Full Satin Paint Protection Film (PPF), Chopped Carbon Fibre Interior
The 2025 Defender 110 OCTA Edition One is a limited-production high-performance SUV engineered by Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) team, with just 1,070 units allocated to the UK market, and 1,000 being sent to the USA.
It is powered by a BMW-sourced 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 with a mild hybrid system, producing 626bhp and driving all four wheels through a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission, with low-range capabilities and locking centre and rear differentials.
Stopping power comes from 15.7-inch Brembo brake discs with six-piston callipers, while a hydraulically interlinked "6D Dynamics" system replaces the anti-roll bars, allowing the wheels to move independently for maximum articulation off-road. It also provides better pitch and roll control for improved on-road handling, and increases the ride height by 28mm.
The new ‘OCTA’ driving mode adjusts the exhaust, suspension and driveline for high-speed off-road driving on loose and uneven surfaces. It includes a specific ABS setting, partially deactivated traction control, and an off-road launch control system. The all-wheel-drive system sends approximately 80% of the car’s torque to the rear wheels for a more agile, rally-inspired feel, while the interior lighting turns red, and key performance readouts are displayed on the infotainment screen.
Cosmetic changes include carbon-fibre exterior highlights, a more aggressive grille design and wider wheel arches, while the paintwork is protected by factory-applied matte paint protection film (PPF). The cabin features carbon-fibre trim, illuminated shift paddles, a Meridian audio system and exclusive ‘performance’ front seats.
