The Porsche Boxster Spyder (981) represents one of the most focused and driver-oriented versions of Porsche’s mid-engined roadster. Introduced in 2015, the Spyder takes the acclaimed 981 Boxster platform and combines it with the naturally aspirated 3.8-litre flat-six from the Cayman GT4, making it one of the last open-top Porsche sports cars to feature a naturally aspirated engine and manual transmission.

Producing 375hp and 310lb-ft of torque, the 3.8-litre flat-six drives the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox, allowing the Boxster Spyder to accelerate from 0-62mph in just 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 180mph. The engine’s free-revving character, combined with a lightweight construction and reduced ride height, gives the Spyder an exceptionally engaging driving experience, while Porsche’s Sports Chrono Package further enhances its performance capabilities.

The chassis is derived from the Cayman GT4, featuring Porsche Active Suspension Management with a 20mm reduction in ride height, revised springs and dampers, and an enhanced braking system. This example is equipped with Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), distinguished by their Yellow-painted calipers, while the 20-inch Boxster Spyder Design Wheels are finished in Platinum Silver and complemented by coloured Porsche Crest centre caps. An Akrapovič Sports Exhaust System further enhances the character of the naturally aspirated flat-six.

Finished in Rhodium Silver Metallic with a Black Cabriolet roof, this example features Black Bi-Xenon headlights, PDLS, tinted taillights with clear centre elements and SportDesign side mirrors. Inside, the Black leather cabin is complemented by Houndstooth central seat panels, ‘Spyder’ embroidery on the headrests, Yellow contrast stitching and Racing Yellow seatbelts.
