2019 Porsche 911 (991.2) GT3 RS Weissach

Description

Key Features: Weissach Package, 20/21" Magnesium Wheels, Clubsport Package, PCCB (Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes), Front Axle Lift System.

In February 2018, Porsche unveiled a facelifted GT3 RS model to continue their updates for the 991 generation of the 911. Changes include a new 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six similar to the GT3 and RSR models, which revs to 9,000 rpm and produces 520hp and 347lb-ft of torque (20hp and 7.4lb-ft more than the previous GT3 RS), coupled to a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission with paddle shift.

It also features NACA ducts for brake cooling, a modified front fascia, side skirts and rear wing, ball joints on all suspension links, front helper springs, lightweight glass for the rear and rear-side windows, and a specially developed tyre compound.

Vehicles equipped with the desirable Weissach package have a carbon-fibre bonnet, carbon-fibre anti-roll bars and coupling rods, a half roll cage, thinner carpets, an exposed carbon-fibre roof and the same 21/21-inch magnesium alloy wheels found on the GT2 RS.

On 18 April 2018, driven by Kévin Estre, the 991.2 GT3 RS set a lap time of 6:56.4 around the Nürburgring Nordschleife. It is the third Porsche production car to break the 7-minute barrier around the track, the first being the 918 Spyder.
