2023 Mercedes-Benz V Class V220d AMG Line
Key Points: Upgraded Tan Upholstery Electric Luxury Seats, 2nd Row Captain Chairs, Split Panoramic Sliding Glass Roof
The V-Class is a mid-sized light commercial vehicle produced by Mercedes-Benz, available as either a panel van, cab or MPV. Positioned in the Mercedes lineup between the larger Sprinter and the smaller Citan, the W638-generation V-Class was introduced in 1996, followed by the W639 and W447 generations in 2003 and 2014.
Finished in silver over tan with carbon-fibre and gloss-black interior trim, this 2023 V-Class is powered by the ‘V220d’ engine; a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel producing 161bhp and 380Nm of torque, which drives the rear wheels through a 9G-TRONIC PLUS nine-speed automatic transmission.
It was specified in the desirable AMG Line trim, which adds AMG-inspired exterior and interior design elements, including a diamond radiator grille, a revised bumper, 19-inch AMG light alloy wheels, and AMG seats.
The luxurious seven-seat cabin features eight-way electrically adjustable front seats with heating, cooling, massage and memory functions, while the second row boasts two reclining and rotating captain’s chairs, as well as the optional biometric fingerprint scanner for authenticating users and allowing access to the vehicle’s infotainment system and settings. The third row features a comfortable bench-style seat, which can be adjusted via the controls inside the tailgate, where there is also a handy storage drawer.
A raft of equipment and comfort features are available, including electric blinds, illuminated tread plates, switchable drive modes, front and rear parking sensors, climate control, dual panoramic sunroofs, and satellite navigation.
