The Mercedes-Benz SL (R232) is the seventh generation of the marque’s SL-Class roadster. Introduced in October 2021 as a direct replacement for the GT Roadster, it is based on an aluminum space frame, developed by AMG to provide more rigidity than its predecessor.

It is fitted with the fourth generation of Mercedes’ 4MATIC all-wheel drive system, as well as rear-axle steering and a folding soft-top roof in place of the previous hard-top, which reduces the weight of the car by 21kg, and lowers the center of gravity for improved handling.

In the desirable SL 55 4MATIC+ guise, it also comes with adaptive AMG Ride Control suspension and high-performance AMG brakes. Exterior highlights include an AMG radiator grille, LED lights and an automatically adjustable spoiler, while the 2+2 cabin is equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an 11.9-inch touchscreen panel, heated and ventilated massage seats, the Airscarf system, and a Burmester audio system.

Its power comes from a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8, delivering 469bhp and 516lb-ft of torque through the AMG 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system and a nine-speed AMG Speedshift automatic transmission.
