The Bugatti Chiron Sport is a more focused and dynamically capable evolution of the marque’s record-breaking hypercar, introduced at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. Developed to offer greater agility and driver engagement than the standard Chiron, the Sport features a firmer chassis setup, sport-focused suspension and Dynamic Torque Vectoring, while retaining the extraordinary performance and luxury for which the Chiron is renowned.
At its heart is Bugatti’s quad-turbocharged 8.0-litre W16, producing 1,479bhp and 1,180lb-ft of torque between 2,000 and 6,000rpm. Power is delivered to all four wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, allowing the Chiron Sport to accelerate from 0-62mph in around 2.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 261mph. Its revised chassis and suspension calibration provide greater precision and responsiveness, while Dynamic Torque Vectoring enhances traction and cornering ability.
The Chiron Sport also incorporates a number of lightweight and aerodynamic enhancements, including specially developed lightweight wheels, a specially designed rear window and carbon-fibre wiper blade arms. A four-pipe titanium exhaust system and lower deflector further distinguish the Sport, while the combination of reduced weight, firmer suspension and revised steering contributes to a more engaging driving experience.
Inside, the Chiron Sport combines Bugatti’s exceptional craftsmanship with a more sporting character. Alcantara detailing features throughout the cabin, complemented by optional black anodised interior components and a distinctive ‘Chiron Sport’ inscription stitched into the centre console inlay. The result is an interior that retains the extraordinary levels of luxury expected from Bugatti while reflecting the car’s more performance-focused nature.
Combining the immense performance of Bugatti’s W16 engine with a firmer chassis, sport-focused suspension, Dynamic Torque Vectoring and extensive lightweight detailing, the Bugatti Chiron Sport represents one of the most desirable derivatives of the Chiron. It retains the extraordinary speed and refinement of the standard car while delivering a sharper, more focused and engaging driving experience.
