2015 Aston Martin DB9 GT Bond Edition
Key Points: 1 of 150 Bond Edition, Limited Edition James Bond Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m Watch, Bang and Olufsen Sound System
The 2015 Aston Martin DB9 GT Bond Edition is a limited-production variant of the lauded British grand tourer, of which just 150 examples were produced to celebrate the release of the James Bond film Spectre, as well as the 50-year relationship between Aston Martin and the Bond franchise.
Based on the end-of-line DB9 GT, it is powered by a 5.9-litre naturally aspirated V12, which delivers 540bhp and 457 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a six-speed Touchtronic II automatic transmission with paddle shift. As a result, it can launch from 0-62mph in 4.5 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 183mph.
Each Bond Edition is finished in a unique colour called Spectre Silver, and features gloss black diamond-turned 20-inch alloy wheels, a carbon-fibre front splitter and rear diffuser, and sterling silver ‘007 Bond Edition’ badging on the front wings.
The cabin is trimmed in Obsidian leather with Galena Silver stitching and Argento Grey piping, and features individually numbered sill plates, gun barrel embroidery on the rear seat divider, and a special ‘Bond Edition’ start-up screen on the AMi II infotainment system.
Equipment includes a three-stage Adaptive Damping System with Normal, Sport, and Track modes, as well as carbon-ceramic brakes, and a carbon-fibre front splitter and rear diffuser.
