2014 Porsche 911 (991.1) Turbo S Exclusive GB Edition
Description
Key Points: 1 of 40 Exclusive GB Editions, Electric Slide/Tilt Sunroof, Sport Classic Alloy Wheels.
The Porsche 911 (991) Turbo S Exclusive GB Edition was introduced in limited numbers to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the 911 Turbo in 2014, with one car built to represent each of the 40 years.
Unique to the UK market, it was designed by Porsche’s Exclusive Manufaktur department, where staff applied a black rear upper spoiler, door handles, mirrors and 20-inch Sport Classic alloy wheels, as well as 1970s-style Porsche script along the sills, to make the car resemble the original 930-era 911 Turbo from 1974.
The GB Edition was available to order in three colour schemes; 10 cars were finished in Guards Red, along with 15 in silver, and 15 in white. The interior is trimmed in black leather upholstery, with complementary Guards Red stitching and seatbelts, and unique highlights including an embossed Union Jack flag on the centre storage compartment lid, bespoke floor mats with leather edges, illuminated carbon fibre sill guards with ‘Exclusive GB Edition’ lettering, and carbon fibre trim elements.
When sold new, each GB Edition was accompanied by a leather-bound album documenting the individual car’s production process with photographs and sketches, as well as an exclusive GB Edition indoor car cover.
It is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.8-litre flat-six, delivering 552bhp and 553lb-ft of torque to all four wheels through a seven-speed PDK transmission with paddle shift, which results in a 0-62mph sprint time of just 3.1 seconds
