Ferrari Reveal The Roma Replacement
Inspired by the iconic Amalfi Coast, Ferrari has launched the latest model in their lineup, the Amalfi. Replacing the Roma, the Amalfi will be the new 'entry point' for Ferrari, whilst still offering over 600hp to drivers.
Some components are shared with the Roma, however, Ferrari say this is an all-new model, with almost every panel altered between the two. Under the skin, the 4.0L twin-turbo V8 has been given an overhaul to produce 631bhp, 19bhp more than the Roma, whilst torque figures remain at an impressive 561lb ft. An 8-speed dual clutch gearbox ensures the new Amalfi gets from 0-62mph in 3.3 second, a shaving of 0.1sec compared to the Roma.
Whilst the increase in performance may seem small, Ferrari have put their efforts into the responsiveness of the engine, mainly thanks to a saving of 1.3kg due to lighter camshafts. This can be shown in their 0-124mph time, where 0.6sec have been lost to give a total time of just 9.0sec.
“We wanted to create a car that was for new-to-Ferrari owners, perhaps experiencing a Ferrari for the first time" said Gianmaria Fulgenzi, Ferrari's Product Development Chief. To do this, new underbody lips and an active rear spoiler had been fitted to make the Amalfi "more predictable". With the rear spoiler in the most aggressive setting, the Amalfi will produce and extra 110kgs of downforce when compared to the Roma, aiding stability at high speed.
Styling has been changed to align with the new design direction Ferrari have taken. The Roma's pointed nose and grille are gone, replaced by a new design that closely resembles both the Purosangue as well as the 12Cilindri. The reintroduction of physical buttons and steering wheel controls are among the biggest changes on the Amalfi's interior. This includes the return of the famous start/stop button (previously a haptic touch pad) which was requested by customers.
Deliveries of the new Ferrari Amalfi are expected to arrive mid to late 2026, with a droptop version following later down the line. To find the selection of Ferrari's we currently offer for sale. Please click here.
